Westwood does it doggy style!

So I think I actually wet myself when I received these pictures. When Dhillon, my little baby Daschund, gets really excited he sometimes wees, I now know how he feels.

Vivienne Westwood, the grande dame of style, the doyenne of the threads, the (fairy) God mother of British fashion, my favourite designer in the whole world has now... deep breath... created her very own range of DOGGY COUTURE.

Now, I realise that some of you have probably just rolled your eyes at the screen, or maybe just had that horrible feeling of an anti climax, but let me tell you, for a dog owner and a Westwood lover there really isn't anything better.

Just look. Fully Swarovski-ed up, the delicate coat and lead are obviously my favourite. And the fur creations? WOW. All the pieces you see in the pics were showpieces, made especially for the premiere of Cats and Dogs (now THAT'S what I call a red carpet look!), and if you wanted your very own slice of Westwood dogwear, you're going to have to book an appointment (head into the store to book) - Dhillon is already in the diary to have his consultation. He, and I, can not wait!

Enjoy the pics. Get ready to coo!

Swarovski 4 The Very Simon G

If you tuned in during fashion week you probably would of watched some of the amaze footage on the Swarovski TV player - fashion shows, interviews, exclusives - the lot! And now, thanks to the lovelies over at the 'crystal' offices (my mouth was open from the moment I walked in, especially when I spotted the crystal waterfall light) we have a special fashion week roundup with loads of exciting goodies thrown in!

You must have a look. There's a little interview with Philip Lim and a must-see round up from New York.

Also, big shout out to Meg at Swarovski - you're a star!

Paul Costelloe

9.30am and we were greeted with a pre-show Dolly Parton sound track. It was then I knew that the first day of Fashion Week was going to be a goodun! For an early start, it was a massive turn out. Paul Costelloe opened London Fashion Week with a gold and black brocade dress; collared, zipped and accompanied by PVC over-the-knee leggings - a running accessory in the show. The collection continued with a slight Victorian cum 80s feel with muted tans, (more) big shoulders and full length, elegant coats belted at the waist. Three colours prevailed; black, blue and gold with a mash-up of varying shades of neutral. There was huge emphasis on the skirt - rah-rah, full, asymmetric bubble.
Neck ties for the men caught my eye, in particular the amaze glittery-bling option. More full length coats and delicious boots were sent down the catwalk on long-haired models, along with belted hips, tailored jackets and a heavenly black and two-tone grey cape.
The collecting closed with another fabulous 80s inspired frock in silver and black brocade. It featured larger than life shoulders and gentle rouching in the middle. A fun end to the show, although it did have me a tiny bit puzzled - it kinda bore no relation to the previous looks.
In short, however, a great start to LFW. More to come Veryettes!
