Rolling on the River...

This weekend, seeing as it was a lovely long, albeit wet, bank holiday, there was only one thing to do on at least one of the days - SHOP! And, as you well know by now, I am a high street queen...king, no queen. There was only one place for me - yup, River Island. My trusty little high street gem.

Oh Em Gee. I think I bought one of everything. The Design Forum made my mouth drop open, the shop assistant had to scrap it off the floor. I bought the Vivienne Westwood-esque jacket with big bat wing sleeves and a tee with gold tassels hanging off it - sounds weird, but go and have a look.

Not only that, but River has gone down the All Saints road in terms of design; unfinished edges, zips, a rustic feel and relaxed, scoop necks to a lot of the pieces - but to me, they do All Saints better than All Saints!

Last week I went along, with Dhillon the Dachshund in tow, to the men's and women's press days to see what the lovely RI team have in store for us for Autumn Winter. And surprise surprise, there was no disappointment. Have a look below. I for one simply can not WAIT for the deep red boots, embellished collars and masses of sheepskin!

FOR THE MEN:

Lots of military references and embellishment. Loving the sheepskin collared denim shirt and the faux fur jacket is...interesting!

FOR THE GIRLS:

Feathers, fur and studs oh my! As usual, amazing accessories including romantic long length gloves, embellished shoes and dainty jewels.
