Hats off to Ascot

I've had a few emails today regarding Ascot. In fact I've seen a million tweets about it too. Everyone sending in their twitpics like mad of this hat and that hat. I love it actually. There's nothing better than seeing a good hat on a badly dressed woman (or a bad hat on a well dressed woman). I like the really BIG ones. The huge ones. The outrageous ones. You know, the ones with live animals having a party on top of it, or those with toy trains running round the rim.

OR, if all else fails, I could go for something like this. These pics came through on an email from Ascot today. These FAB Lego hats are designed by Charlotte Samuel, a Leicester College fashion student. They are made solely from LEGO bricks, and a certified professional LEGO builder (Jesus, had no idea one of these existed!) built them.

The women's one is made from approximately 1,400 bricks and took 14 hours to build. It is based upon the Lego motto - 'inspiring and developing the builders of tomorrow'. So profound! The men's top hat is made from around 1,000 bricks and too eight hours. Wow. That's one dedicated brick layer!

I heart Ascot fashion. Can't wait to see more! (where's TPT when you need her!?)
